The vacation home De Consistorie is popularly known as the Pannenkoekhuisje (pancake house). Why is that? Probably for its picturesque exterior. This is a charming, whitewashed cottage that was once inhabited by the sexton. The monument from 1865 has been beautifully renovated and it now available for rent as a vacation home. De Consistorie is ideally located if you want to combine culture and nature, next door to the eight-sided domed church and at the edge of Veenhuizen. Just cross the canal, to walk into the expansive nature area of the Fochteloërveen. De Consistorie is rented out by the adjoining café-restaurant Het Verenigingsgebouw.
